Biography of Reshape Ed

Reshape Education & Development Initiative (R.E.D.) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 following the Haiti earthquake. The organization was established with the belief that every person deserves access to education, dignity, and opportunity. Since its creation, Reshape Ed has supported youth empowerment, humanitarian relief, education access, leadership development, and sustainable community growth in Haiti and underserved communities.

Project Vision

To establish a world-class community school and development center that empowers children, youth, and families through education, technology, health awareness, and opportunity.

Detailed Key Components

1. 12 modern classrooms with desks and learning tools.
2. Computer lab with 30+ computers and internet.
3. Library with books, reading zones, and literacy programs.
4. Solar power system for reliable electricity.
5. Water filtration and sanitation facilities.
6. Playground and sports areas.
7. Teacher offices and administration center.

Construction Plan

Phase 1: Land clearing, design, permits.
Phase 2: Foundation, walls, roofing.
Phase 3: Electrical, plumbing, solar installation.
Phase 4: Interior finishing and furnishing.
Phase 5: Safety inspections and opening.

Staffing Plan

Principal, teachers, IT instructor, librarian, accountant, maintenance team, security staff, and community outreach coordinator.

Sustainability

Low-cost tuition assistance model, donor partnerships, community support, volunteer programs, annual fundraising campaigns, and vocational training revenue streams.
